Bumping Into Love.
If there is one characteristic that defined Jesus, it would be love.
Jesus didn’t come to give us an intellectual belief…
For those who claim to be "Christian"-- followers of The Way--
the way is Love, God's very nature, embodied in Jesus.
Christianity isn’t a "belief system"; it’s a way.
Jesus came to show the way;
to be the way-- and his way was Love.
to be the truth--and his truth was Love.
And to be the life-- and his life was Love.
And if we truly want to know God,
then we too must walk in the way of his Love.
We too must walk in the truth of his Love.
We too must walk in life of his Love.
If somewhere along your journey you have managed to bump into Jesus,
then you have bumped into God-- you have bumped into Love; better yet,
Love has bumped into you.
"And this is how you will know-- by the way you love one another."

Beautiful.
I've been thinking about this post a lot and it made me remember a sermon I heard when I was a teenager. The pastor was preaching on the "love chapter" in 1st Corintians and instead of reading "love is patient, love is kind..." he read it this way: "the Spirit and attitude of Jesus is patient, the spirit and attitude of Jesus is kind..."
Thanks for your post--and making me remember to try to live my life in the "spirit and attitude of Jesus."
glad, very glad to find another post, another thought....following....into this way....
What is odd is when some people bump into love they step on it... and others water it so it can further bloom.
I was raised Christian, became disillusioned, explored a myriad possible alternative paths and have returned to Jesus in a really unsettling yet exhilarating way. I'm pretty much alone with this. I would really like to converse with the author of this post and some of the rest of you who seem to be free of the yoke of doctrine and religious slavery, but I don't know how to use the functions of this site to contact anyone directly. My email address is bornfree@kinnfold.com . I haven't found any other venue like this where people seem to be speaking with love for God and not with fear of Him. Would some of you mind taking the time to hear what's happening to me and tell me what you think? I'd reeeeally appreciate it. And sorry if I seem to be off-topic, but, if I could tell you why I'm here, you might agree I'm really not. Thank you for your indulgence. In Service To Love, LJ
