How many of you are there?
“Big. How can I be big without having to become little? How can I be little without having to become big? There’s Big Rick and Little Rick. Little Rick isn’t afraid of Big Rick, but sometimes Big Rick is afraid of Little Rick ‘cause Little Rick reminds Big Rick of all that he is not. Little Rick possesses power but doesn’t show it. Big Rick shows power but doesn’t truly possess it. Little Rick writes the sermon, Big Rick preaches. Big Rick goes to the patient’s door, Little Rick enters the room and meets the patient. Little Rick isn’t afraid to die. Big Rick won’t die, for if he dies, what’s left? Little Rick has already crossed over—died-- and knows there is nothing to fear. Both Ricks are me. And when they meet it is Little Rick who holds Big Rick’s hand and they dance.” From my personal journal.
How do we truly begin to see ourselves?
Are we honest?
Do we hide?
May we live from our souls.

I love how you expressed this.
I know exactly what you mean.
living for our souls...
once again bro, your words have beat me into submission.
I like that post. One question: Is it always easy to distinguish between Big Rick and Little Rick?
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the post.
I am one who has been living as multiple persons for years. They are growing closer together, especially over the last year - and I am taking some tiny, tiny steps at unity over here. But it's been hard to give up a life of denial, at the very end.
I've been out of the blogosphere for a while - working on this new part of my life - but I want you to know that your posts in the last week have given me such encouragement and such peace, I couldn't even begin to describe it. God has blessed me richly with your presence, brother. Happy Thanksgiving.
I think that sometimes we desire so much for people to see us being successful and well to do that we portray Big Guy although deep down inside we feel like Little Guy. For me, it's so difficult to merge the two because the Big Guy future tends to cloud my Little Guy present reality. But I believe one day, with God leading me, I will eventually step into Big Guy. So I will live for my soul each day, striving to achieve the destiny that God has designed for me. Thanks for the look into your journal.
