This will only take a second.
1,072,233,992 give or take a few...
This is how many seconds I have remaining in my life bank account according to The Life Span Clock. Granted no one can know for certain how long one will live, but it sure does put things in perspective.
There are 86,400 seconds in a day. You'd think it would easy to live in the moment, it's only a second or two, but it may be one of the hardest things to do.
The tragedy is not that I am slowly dying, second by second; the tragedy is that I am not often living second by second. How 'bout you?
Do you waste seconds thinking about the seconds you have already lived and that are gone forever? I do. All too often I am focused on second # 987,003,865 somewhere out in the future and not the present. Likewise, all too often I attempt to cram too much in one second, as if I don’t have over a billion more to live. Sometimes I waste precious seconds focused on truly trivial matters that won’t matter in a couple million seconds from now.
Funny, you can only live one second at a time.
How many will you live afraid?
How many will you live angry?
How many will you live worried?
How many will you live seeking the passion of your soul?
I want to live these next 1, 072,233,592 seconds (I used 400 or so writing this) a little more intentional... a little more loving... and I want to live them doing things that matter to me and to God.
Albert Einstein said, "The tragedy of life is what dies inside a person while he lives."
Right this very second are you living in the moment or are you dying in the moment?
The clock is ticking.

Great post! Very thought provoking indeed.Yep, we have to make every millisecond count.
I only got you by 2,522,780 seconds or so...and I thought the day was looking up...damn! Maybe it's due to my diet of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and fried chicken.
Great post Rick! You rock bro!
I struggle with focusing on what lies ahead rather than this very moment.
Thanks for more reminders on this thought of LIVING now, embracing it and adding them to the bank account of life.
