God of Comfort, hear our prayer.
I am the resurrection and the life, saith the Lord;
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;
and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
I know that my Redeemer liveth,
and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth;
and though this body be destroyed, yet shall I see God;
whom I shall see for myself and mine eyes shall behold,
and not as a stranger.
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
For if we live, we live unto the Lord.and if we die, we die unto the Lord.
Whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord;
even so saith the Spirit, for they rest from their labors.
Join together in prayer:
Eternal Lord God, you hold all souls in life: Give to your whole Church in paradise and on earth your light and your peace; and grant that we, following the good examples of those who have served you here and are now at rest, may at the last enter with them into your unending joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Ah, and there are so many - myself included - who need to hear that prayer today, brother. It's a beautiful (if cold) day here - but it seems a little more "chill to the bone," for some reason. I keep remembering the words of my friend Nick Tendler, who would pray, "May God's love surround you like a warm blanket." That's what I need today - a warm blanket, and the chance to snuggle down and be comforted in the Everlasting Arms.
